I LOVE Paper

An invitation is the first impression you give a guest about your wedding day, it really sets the tone for the type of event you are hosting. My invitations as well as the day-of paper items were so important to me. With the assistance of the amazing Rachel Trem at Blue Envelope Boutique in Downtown Willoughby, I was able to present the classically modern feel that I had hoped to give to guests. Rachel's creativity and designs were beyond my expectations.

And so married life begins....

The wedding is over... the honeymoon is over... reality has set in that both are over, and it is a bit sad for me to be honest. I truly had such an amazing time planning our wedding, but it is so nice to begin reflecting on what a wonderful day it was. While we haven't received our professional photos or our wedding video, friends and family have been posting pictures to facebook and sharing thoughts about the day with us. I can honestly say that I wouldn't change a thing; From start to finish it was everything I hoped for and in my opinion a flawless day. If anything did go wrong, I didn't know about. I sat back, had a few bellinis and enjoyed myself like any bride should. It has been a while since I last posted, but now that I am settling back into reality, I look forward to sharing some highlights of our day, featuring my fabulous vendors, and continuing to spotlight awesome weddings in Cleveland! Cheers!

Inspiration: Springtime in Paris

A spring wedding exudes an ethereal beauty unlike any other time of the year. With spring comes growth and new beginnings, just like the start of a new life that a marriage brings. With spring just around the corner, I am inspired by the visions of beautiful pastel flowers in full bloom. And that leads to today's inspiration: a springtime wedding, Parisian style.

While Cleveland may not be the City of Lights, it does offer some architecturally beautiful venues, with vendors that can create an ambiance that makes you feel a world away. To get that true french feel, consider a menu that fuses French cuisine with your favorite American fare. Pork rillettes, mini croque monsiers, and savory crepes could be fantastic options to offer your guests. And to kick off your wedding weekend, consider holding your rehearsal dinner at one of my favorite Cleveland restaurants, L'Albatros in University Circle.

I hope these images help inspire your Parisian fete!

CLE bride: Kim

Kim and Neal were married on a beautiful, sunny, and seasonably warm Saturday in November. Their ceremony was held at an eastside church and they chose Windows on the River for their evening reception. If you have never had the opportunity to attend a wedding at Windows, you are missing one of the best venues in the city. The various rooms give you views of the Cuyahoga River, the bridges connecting the westside with downtown, and the gorgeous skyline. Not to mention the delicious food offerings and amazing cakes by Wild Flour Bakery. Kim and Neal truly had a picture perfect day - here are some of the highlights:

-who doesn't love ice cream served with wedding cake?
- the favors were jars of Kim's family's special mustard recipe... a crowd favorite!
